Subsidence is a better predictor of clinical outcomes than is fusion. Subsidence is loss of disc height from painful fracture of the endplates. Subsidence often leads to at least some return of radicular symptoms. Subsidence is not currently being measured by the vast majority of clinicians because the phenomenon is underappreciated. Tranquil is aimed at improving clinical outcomes, and addressing subsidence is a primary opportunity for such improvement.
A 1-year retrospective review of Tranquil patients has demonstrated that specific characteristics possessed only by the Tranquil family of implants is mitigating the risk of subsidence. No other interbody device is like Tranquil. Let us show you.
